What is a Sunset Show?
One night. One DJ. 6/6:30-9:30 PM. Let’s jam out to a different amazing DJ each session, which will happen bi-weekly, when the gallery director is not across the country at art fairs. The theme is experiencing the sunset alongside a DJ, who will play as the sun is above us and continue until the sunset departs our vision and sets on the horizon, which can be seen from the windows of HUE Gallery in the new location at STUDIO|SCHOOL.
Once the sun sets and the show is nearly over, Sean will have a pre-programmed light show begin to finish the night out and send everyone on their way to other larger venues around town to get the night kicked off right!
Each event will only have 20-25 tickets available for purchase at $5 and this money goes directly into the DJ’s pocket, as every DJ that dedicates their time to play a 3 hour set, deserves to be paid accordingly.
These shows are not here to blast your earholes with bass, but rather, with a sound system that excels at hearing the majesty of the produced and live music and living in the moment with your friends all around you! Imagine this event, much like “The Lab LA” or “The Boiler Room” as its just about bringing people together to live in the moment!
For this initial debut of the Sunset Shows, we have a special guest DJ coming in from out of town to play the event! Hope you all can make it out and enjoy the event to the fullest!
*Future events will also be live streamed for those who cannot attend. Attendance is STRICTLY limited to 25 people, maximum, due to the size of the venue.

In anticipation for it’s debut in Washington D.C., I am having an early preview in Wichita for friends and family.
The event allows 150 entries, with tickets, to experience the cube over a 6 hour period. The tickets are not sold, they were given out at HUE Gallery of Contemporary Art‘s “Swan Song” exhibition and to patrons of Sean Christopher Ward and Gerard Wellemeyer. There are still approximately 30 tickets left which will be given to select collectors and patrons of the program.
The event is currently being planned out, but I will likely have some musicians playing during the day event and turn it into a nice social event!

HUE GALLERY @ SUPERFINE! ART FAIR – WASHINGTON D.C.
Art with purpose.
Proudly LGBTQ+ owned and operated, Superfine! is committed to the economic empowerment of women, LGBTQ+ artists, artists of color, and all other underrepresented artist communities.
Shh…we broke the rules.
Superfine! took off back in 2015 as an alternative to boring, stuffy art fairs and complicated art world politics. We caught flack from the establishment because we broke down barriers and opened up art collecting to everyone. As it turned out, nobody cared about the art world and its politics.
Our one goal: produce badass, expertly-curated contemporary art fairs where über-talented, diverse global artists meet their new supporters (that’s YOU!) in iconic cities across the US, and beyond. With fairs in NYC, LA, DC, Chicago, Seattle, and SF – we’ve met that goal. Superfine! DC 2019 is an unmissable art summit where you get to meet local District superstars and their worldwide counterparts while adding enviable new works to your growing collection.
